BMW CCA Non-Holiday Party - Kick off the New Year in style with your Old Hickory Chapter BMW CCA friends - new and old!

Event Information:
The Club will provide ham and/or turkey and soft drinks. (BYO adult beverages) If your last name begins with A - P bring an appetizer, vegetable, or salad, Q – Z bring a dessert to share. Bring a $20 gift if you wish to participate in the “dirty Santa” type exchange.
Directions to the clubhouse from the north on I-65: Exit #69 at Moore’s Lane, stay straight on Galleria Blvd toward the Galleria Mall. At the 3rd light, turn left on Bakers Bridge Avenue, proceed east for .7 miles, across I-65, past the Mercedes and VW stores, cross over Carothers Pkwy. The club house is at the end of Baker’s Bridge.
From the south on I-65: exit #68A to the right (east) on Cool Springs Blvd. Take the 1st left onto Carothers Road. Continue .9 miles to Baker’s Bridge Avenue. Turn right on Bakers Bridge. The clubhouse is at the end of the street.

Where? Meet at the Shell station on the east (not the one on the west) side of I-65 at the Highway 96 - Franklin exit. The address is 1412 Murfreesboro Road (which is Highway 96 from Franklin to Murfreesboro). We'll enjoy a Saturday drive down to Lynchburg, lunch at Cattywampus and a tour of the distillery.

BMW CCA Summer Fun Rally - The BMWCCA Old Hickory Chapter will be hosting a 'Summer Fun Rally' on Saturday, July 17th . If you are looking for a great way to enjoy your car on some beautiful Middle-Tennessee backroads, you definitely won't want to miss this event! We have a fantastic 66.5 mile route plotted out out that departs from Jim Warren Park in Franklin and weaves through Williamson and Maury Counties. We return to Jim Warren Park as the final destination and then celebrate with trophies, bratwursts, and refreshments! The rally will be loosely-based on a TSD format, in which the object is to get from point A to point B at precisely the right time, so you will most likely want to have a navigator with you who can help you to pace your drive. Bonus questions related to landmarks will also be added to the route, which if answered correctly, will help you to earn timing bonuses when we tally the final results. Keep in mind that simply 'ignoring' the speed limit will work against you... We will be traveling at legal speeds on public roads, and targeting a specific arrival time at the rally end point. The entire route can be comfortably completed in less than 3 hours. Registration will be limited to 30 cars, so be sure to sign up early. We look forward to seeing you there!

BMW CCA Street Survival -
The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations for licensed or permitted drivers, age 15 to 21. We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too.
It's about more than driving - it's about LIVING!
